The great state of New Jersey features 127 miles of coastline, 157 miles of Delaware Bay and River and over 4,000 lakes, ponds, rivers, streams, bays and reservoirs crisscrossing through the state. The amount of water resources are great, but they are staggering when compared to the state's small size. At only 8,722 total square miles, New Jersey is the 3rd smallest state in the country.
