In 1928, the word 'marina' was used for the very first time to define a recreational boating facility. Since then, marinas have become an integral part of not only American recreation, but also American life. Not only do marinas provide America's gateway to the boating experience, marina operators serve as important stewards of our aquatic resources.

On August 10th, marinas across the country will be holding events in celebration of National Marina Day. To find an event near you, visit our event locator page.
