Well, it just might if PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) gets its way.
PETA's latest ridiculous mission is an effort to stop fishing in Missouri state parks and popular family places like Maramec Spring, which is operated by the James Foundation.
According to Tim Remken writing in the Dec. 29, 2001, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Dan Shannon, of PETA's "Fishing Hurts" campaign, asked for a ban in a letter to Steve Mahfoud, director of Missouri State Parks.
