"The Detroit Boat Show is the best time to buy a boat," said Boat Show
Manager Van Snider. "Unlike the auto show, smart shoppers can place their
orders right on the show floor and, because of the advantages of early
buying,
they get great deals." Serious buyers can shop more than 250 exhibitors all
in one location and see ski boats, fishing boats, cabin cruisers, bow
riders,
pontoons and personal watercraft.
In addition to the ultimate boat buying experience, the 44th Annual
Detroit Boat Show offers many attractions for an entire day of family fun.
New for 2002 is a traveling live shark show, which will be located in the
exhibit hall and will be on display during regular boat show hours. The
shark
tank exhibit also includes the "Great White Experience" and a Sea Life
Petting
Pond.
"The Squalus Live Shark Show is an exciting attraction for everyone,"
said
Snider. "One look in the eyes of a live shark and you will feel your heart
pounding with awe."
Other family attractions at the boat show include: The Discover Boating
Center; Boating Kids Clinic; Antique & Classic Boats; "Draw Kids Into
Boating"
futuristic boat drawing contest (win boat, motor & trailer); "Salty Dog"
