Water lab expansion will help conservation
If you've been frustrated trying to get on the list of people who would like to learn how to conserve water, relief may be insight.
The enormously popular mobile irrigation lab is expanding its program. That could cut down the waits for appointments considerably from the five-month waiting lists that exist now.
The lab is run by the South Florida Water Management District. Water experts help residents determine how they can save dollars and millions of gallons of water every year, by fixing some common -- and minor -- problems with home lawn sprinkling systems. An estimated 60 percent of our water in Lee County goes to irrigate lawns.
If you'd like to save -- and remember the dry season is just around the corner -- sign up now for the free inspection and evaluation. Call 995-5678, ext. 3.
