Fishing: How To Fish: Basics
Bait & Lures: Freshwater Artificial Lures
Fishing with bait is enjoyable, certainly, but there's something about fooling a fish with an artificial that gives most anglers a special charge.
A neophyte fisherman who visits a well-stocked sporting-goods store or tackle shop is confronted with a bewildering array of plugs, spoons, spinners, jigs, flies, bugs and others. Some artificials look like nothing that ever swam, crawled, or flew, and yet they catch fish.
You can find detailed information about plugs, spoons, spinners, buzz baits, jigs, plastic lures, pork rind and flies in the Complete Outdoors Encyclopedia. To order an autographed copy of this 830-page comprehensive volume, contact Vin T. Sparano, the author, at: [email protected]
