A new fishing boat is the top prize in the 14th annual Alafia River Catfish Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 7, out of Williams Park.
For just $10, fishermen can compete for a 17-foot Sea Fox boat with a 90-HP Mercury outboard and Magic Tilt trailer.
Proceeds benefit an environmental enhancement project on the Alafia River. Last year's event raised $10,000.
The entry fee is $10 for adults, $5 for juniors ages 6-14 and $2 for peewees ages 5 and under.
Cash prizes will be award to second through 10th places, and juniors and peewees will also earn prizes.
