nVIEW Corporation Launches Expanded Version of Their New Simon Ship Information Monitoring System

NEWPORT NEWS, Va., Jan. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- nVIEW Corporation announced
today the release of a significantly expanded version of its SiMON, Ship
Information Monitoring System. SiMON is a combination of proprietary software
and hardware specially designed for collecting and presenting operational
information of a marine vessel.

This new version monitors mechanical engines, generators, batteries,
tanks, security, safety and other critical ship systems, in addition to
monitoring electronic engines and navigational data. SiMON is designed to
monitor virtually any system, subsystem or data item on the vessel. It
continues to provide early warning and problem reporting for all systems to
alert the ship's captain to conditions before they become catastrophic. It is
flexible in its design so that systems and their parameters may be added or
changed to meet even the most demanding requirements of the Captain.

"SiMON now makes the "glass bridge" a reality, says Mike Blake, V.P. of
Development at nVIEW. A truly integrated bridge is one that provides the
captain with immediate information through a single source for the complete
operation of his vessel. No longer does the Captain require a random mix of
gauges and instruments to get the same information. SiMON, combined with our
PilotStation display products provides the real "Integrated Solution", giving
the captain the knowledge to successfully operate in all conditions."

Monitoring of HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, water makers, pumps,
bilge levels, autopilots, thrusters, stabilizers, and compressors are further
examples of the additional capabilities offered by the expanded version.
SiMON provides all this information to the Captain in an easy to use format
and with a look that just says "marine".

nVIEW designs integrated solutions incorporating SiMON and PilotStation
LCD display technologies. Their products are known for their innovation,
ruggedness, reliability and exceptional performance. nVIEW is a registered
ISO9001 Company.
