Garmin Unveils Latest Personal Navigator -- GPS V
Garmin Ltd.

OLATHE, Kan., June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Garmin International Inc., a unit
of Garmin Ltd. (Nasdaq: GRMN), introduces the newest member of its GPS Personal
Navigator family -- the GPS V.

It incorporates the same user-friendly design, functionality,
portability and unique two-way display as the GPS III Plus, yet the GPS V adds longer
battery life, higher screen resolution, WAAS capabilities for better
accuracy, 19 megabytes of internal memory, and turn-by-turn navigation capabilities
for drivers.

"We have taken the legacy of the popular GPS III Plus and implemented
our latest navigation technology to create an extremely powerful tool for
travelers of all sorts," said Gary Kelley, director of marketing, Garmin
International. "Whether you are driving, boating, hiking, hunting or fishing
-- the GPS V will give you a clearer picture of your current position and
help you reach your intended destination more efficiently."

The GPS V fits nicely on the dash of any vehicle, can be mounted on a
bicycle or ATV, or can easily be used as a handheld GPS utilizing its unique
vertical or horizontal screen orientation. And because it provides turn-by-
turn navigation, it audibly alerts users when they are approaching upcoming
turns or their final destination, removing almost all the guesswork of
traveling in an unfamiliar locale.

As a memory-rich device, the GPS V stores street-level maps from the new
MapSource MetroGuide U.S.A. CD-ROM with automatic route generation. The
increased memory allows users to look up addresses and points of interests
using its dedicated "find" button.

The GPS V is expected to be available in the third quarter of 2001 at a
suggested retail price of $535.70. It will ship standard with a routable
MapSource MetroGuide U.S.A. CD, PC interface cable, power cable, automotive
mount, adhesive mount, lanyard, owner's manual and quick-start guide.
