Alexandria Seaport Foundation The Alexandria Seaport Foundation was founded in 1983 to preserve and celebrate the extraordinary maritime heritage of the Potomac River and Alexandria. OUr programs include building and restoring traditional wooden craft and teaching people how to use them safely. We educate people about the Potomac River and work to restore its wetlands. We strengthen our community by fostering stewards of the river and building productive citizens.
