STATES ORGANIZATION FOR BOATING ACCESS (SOBA )
SOBA is an organization which provides up-to-date information about the construction, maintenance, financing, and administration of recreational boating facilities to state program administrators charged with their management.
SOBA provides the forum for the exchange of information and experiences about the highly technical features of public access and marina facility construction and maintenance. It also serves as a brokerage for the dissemination of information about public policies which potentially impact state access and waterway programs. SOBA has become a leader in shaping national issues relating to recreational boating and angling. This has been accomplished by aggressively pursuing partnering opportunities with the private sector, other organizations, and a variety of federal agencies whose interest in recreational boating and public access interrelate with those of SOBA.
