Wildlife, fishing, boating meeting Monday in Big Stone Gap
By Robert Baird
The state Department of Game and Inland Fisheries is conducting meetings across Virginia to receive public comments on numerous proposed changes to fishing, wildlife diversity and boating regulations.
A meeting will be held Monday, Sept. 9, at Mountain Empire Community College's Dalton Cantrell Auditorium near Big Stone Gap and Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Wytheville Community College's Grayson Hall-The Commons. Both meetings last from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The fishing, wildlife diversity and boating proposals are those regulations and regulation amendments proposed by the state Board of Game and Inland Fisheries during an Aug. 22 meeting.
