Boats.com Launches Jump Start Program for Manufacturers - Genmar is first to sign on industry initiative and get its dealer network
[email protected]
LAKE FOREST, IL, Tuesday, May 22, 2026 - Today, boats.com, Inc.
(www.boats.com) announced the launch of its new "Jump Start" program for
boats.com Manufacturer Affiliates. The Jump Start initiative permits
manufacturers to purchase "Dealer Listing Services" packages that
immediately let their dealer networks take advantage of the comprehensive
boats.com pre-owned boat marketplace. By enrolling in the Jump Start
program, manufacturers can save a substantial amount on the cost of
individual dealer enrollment while lowering customer acquisition costs on a
network-wide basis.
"The Jump Start program illustrates how boats.com is helping the industry
take advantage of the efficiencies of the Internet," said Paul Rabe,
president, chief operating officer and co-founder of boats.com. "The NMMA
Advisory Council worked hard with boats.com to ensure that this program was
great for everyone - Jump Start truly is an industry initiative."
Genmar has signed on as the first manufacturer to participate in the program
and expects its dealers to immediately benefit from the increased exposure
and consumer access.
"As a member of the NMMA Advisory Council, we were directly involved in the
creation of Jump Start and understand the value it brings to our dealer
network and all of our boat brands," said Grant Oppegaard, president, Genmar
Holdings, Inc., manufacturer of Aquasport, Carver, Crestliner, Four Winns,
Glastron, Hatteras, Hydra-Sports, Javelin, Larson, Logic, Lowe, Lund, Nova,
Ranger, Seaswirl, Stratos, Trojan and Wellcraft. "We believe the Internet
must be an integral part of any marketing and sales program today. Compared
to traditional "offline" customer acquisition channels like boat shows,
magazines, and radio, for example, we believe the boats.com Jump Start
program will prove to be a very effective and efficient way to reach
consumers and sell more boats."
Currently, the Jump Start programs is open for enrollment and available to
all boats.com Manufacturer Affiliates; which today number more than 85 and
represent more than 2,300 models of new boats. Other manufacturers can join
once they have registered as a boats.com Affiliate. By purchasing a Dealer
Listings Services package through the Jump Start program, Manufacturer
Affiliates are providing access to the boats.com pre-owned listing service
for their dealer network. Dealers included in the agreement can list an
unlimited number of pre-owned boats on boats.com, complete with pictures and
product specifications, at no cost to them. Manufacturers also have the
opportunity to direct new boat leads and consumer inquiries to their dealer
network.
For more information out about the Jump Start program or boats.com Affiliate
program, manufacturers can call 847-604-8629 or email [email protected].
