State of Montana Announces a New Era of Convenient eGovernment
Discovering Montana

HELENA, Mont., May 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Anyone with an Internet connection
and a credit card may now purchase a State Parks Passport from anywhere in
the world, 24 hours a day and seven days a week at DiscoveringMontana.com. This
is the first of many popular state offerings that Montana will soon make
available on the Internet. The application was built by Montana
Interactive, Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of eGovernment provider NIC (Nasdaq: EGOV) that is under contract with the Information Services Division to provide
electronic government services to the State of Montana.
"Montana residents and visitors will soon have access to many important
state services they need on the Internet at one convenient, easy-to-use Web
location," said Governor Judy Martz. "Montanans with Internet access will
save time and energy while, on a global basis, we're making Montana more
accessible."
The Montana State Parks Passport is a car windshield decal that covers
entrance fees for a full season to all Montana State Parks and also provides
discounts on camping fees. The State Parks Passport is a good service to
put on the Internet because tourists who are interested in visiting Montana's
parks also make significant contributions to Montana's economy. "Now
everyone may order a Passport in a couple of minutes," said Doug Monger, Parks
Division Administrator. "Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is happy to be the first
state agency to offer this kind of secure online service, making State Parks more
accessible and easier to enjoy."

Ordering a State Parks Passport online is simple. From the
http://www.DiscoveringMontana.com website, click on Online Services and then
follow the "epassport" link. Users may also go to the Montana Fish,
Wildlife & Parks website at http://www.fwp.state.mt.us and can then click on the
"epassport" logo. Once at the State Parks Passport page, visitors will
provide their name, address, drivers license number, and the number of
passes they wish to purchase. Customers can process credit card information
through DiscoveringMontana's secure server, and then may choose to print a receipt
directly from a home printer or have the receipt e-mailed to an e-mail
address they provide.

"We are very pleased with the results of this first eGovernment service
for the State and will continue to work with Montana Interactive and state
agencies to rapidly bring additional services to DiscoveringMontana.com in a
convenient and secure manner," said Tony Herbert of the Information Services
Division.
