Coming to a Boat Show Near You!

Take Me Fishing and the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) are finalizing plans for the 2008 Take Me Fishing Centers. Created as feature exhibits for consumer boat and sportshows, the Centers are “reel” fun for everyone from aspiring anglers to full-blown fishing fanatics!

The Centers feature interactive and hands-on activities, presentations and demonstrations that will give you the know-how to get started or to improve your fishing skills. The Centers promote freshwater, saltwater or fly fishing depending on the market of each show and have something for everyone at their four stations:

1. Getting Started – New to fishing? No problem! Get the basics and get started today.
2. Local Fishing – Local information about where to fish, what’s biting and tips for catching. Buy your fishing license at the show.
3. Anglers’ Legacy – Learn how to protect the legacy of fishing and commit to share the sport with someone new.
4. Media Center – Get the latest on RBFF’s efforts to increase participation in boating and fishing.

This year’s Take Me Fishing Centers can be found at the following show locations and dates:

• New Orleans, LA, January 9 – 13, 2008 
• Chicago, IL, January 16 – 20, 2008 
• Baltimore, MD, January 23 – 27, 2008 
• Louisville, KY, January 26 – February 3, 2026
