FT. MYERS, FL - March 26, 2026 FishingWorks.com announced today that, less than three months after the launch of its Website, the Company has achieved a significant milestone with the addition of its 10,000th registered member.
"We're extremely pleased by the response we've received so soon after our launch," states FishingWorks.com's president, Roy Macdermott. "Every day we get emails from visitors telling us that they've been waiting for a site like ours easy to navigate and full of fishing information."
FishingWorks.com is a neutral intermediary connecting fishermen (50 million in the United States alone) with all providers of fishing-related products and services on the Web. To date, over 21,000 such companies are listed in its online directories, with many more being added every day. FishingWorks.com sells no products or services to consumers. Instead, it focuses on organizing and providing information about, and links to, websites in every category related to fishing from tackle and fishing boat manufacturers to fishing guides and destinations; from the latest fishing regulations and online licensing procedures, to fishing message boards, magazines and classified listings. FishingWorks.com is free to use, and free registration provides members with many value-added features such as a free home page, online email account, an online fishing log, an online photo album and personalized weather and tide information. Within the next 60 days, several new features and informational categories will be added, along with more free member features, like customizable solunar tables for tracking fish feeding cycles.
FishingWorks.com has been promoting the site through a print advertising campaign placed in many of the premier national and regional fishing magazines as well as through an extensive online marketing initiative. Beyond attaining its 10,000th registered member, FishingWorks.com's traffic continues to experience strong sequential month-over-month growth. In March the company's website served over 1.2 million pages to over 50,000 unique visitors, "
and we expect that our growth to accelerate as we add new categories and features to the site," says Macdermott. On average, each user spends over 11 minutes per session at the website.
FishingWorks.com, based in Ft. Myers, Florida, was founded in early 2000 by its President, Roy Macdermott, to simplify the process of navigating the web for fishing-related information. The company derives its revenues from the sale of enhanced listings to the firms listed within its directories, as well as from key industry affiliations and site-wide advertising.
