Sumerset Custom Houseboats, builder of custom houseboats, will introduce a new generation of boats geared toward southwestern lakes that have maximum length limits.
In Arizona, these include Lake Powell and Lake Roosevelt.
An official unveiling of the new model, called the Escalante, was this week at Lake Pleasant's Harbor Marina. It was the first time the boat was available for viewing after it left the Sumerset headquarters in Kentucky.
Escalante starts at 55 feet in length and offers all the comforts of home.
Tours are available to the general public Saturday, Aug. 25, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Pleasant Harbor Marina.
