Boat parade sets sail on Intercoastal Waterway Saturday night
VENICE -- The 14th annual Christmas Boat Parade will light the Intracoastal Waterway on Saturday.
Decorated boats of all shapes and sizes will begin staging north of the Albee Road Bridge in Nokomis in mid-afternoon.
The parade will officially begin with the first boat clearing the Albee Road bridge at about 6 p.m.
From there, the parade will float halfway out the jetties before turning around and sailing into the channel behind the yacht club.
The parade will then sail along the waterway to the South Bridge, where it will disperse.
Spectators can view the parade from bridges or anywhere along the Intracoastal Waterway.
